Site Reliability Engineer, Golang and Kubernetes


W2 Contract


Salary Range: $114,400 - $135,200 per year


Location: Remote Role - PST


Job Summary:


We require a Site Reliability Engineer with solid experience in Golang automation and Kubernetes containerization to support a large-scale, distributed, highly available computing platform.


Requirements and Qualifications:



  • Must have strong experience with Golang for tool building and automation; alternatively, solid Python experience with a willingness to learn Golang.

  • Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerization is required.

  • Experience with Grafana and Prometheus for network alerting and monitoring

  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service orchestration tools such as OpenStack and CloudStack

  • Good understanding of Linux system administration

  • Experience with Linux system virtualization, including Libvirt, QEMU, and KVM

  • Capacity management and planning experience with Infrastructure and Cloud

  • Skilled in infrastructure resource utilization analysis, demand and capacity data analysis

  • Able to automate publishing data into data lakes and build dashboards using Apache Superset

  • Experience managing, scaling, and troubleshooting Java applications

  • Working understanding of common authentication schemes, certificates, and securely managing secrets

  • Able to develop advanced telemetry and observability for services at various levels (API, runtime, infrastructure, log analysis, etc.)
